Partial Differential Equations and Fluid Mechanics¶
This conference focuses on rigorous methods for nonlinear problems and PDEs in fluid mechanics, with an emphasis on surface waves. It brings together leading experts in wave phenomena, vortex flows, Euler equations, Calculus of Variations, Elliptic PDEs, Dynamical Systems, and Bifurcation Theory to review progress and identify future research directions.

John Toland¶
The conference will take place close to the 76th birthday of Professor John Toland (FRS) and will mark his contributions to PDEs and fluid mechanics and his prominent role in the wider mathematical community (including as President of the LMS, Director of the ICMS Edinburgh, Director of the INI Cambridge and on the Board of the IMU).

Travel advice¶
The University has a page with useful advice on how to travel to city of Bath and to the University campus. Those travelling to the workshop from outside the UK will probably require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). These are similar to the US ESTA visa waiver and can be obtained easily from a government website.
